Hours: 9:00-6:00 in two hour blocks
Details of Volunteer Activity:
The Community Impact Measurement (CIM) Survey is widely used around the country to measure two important parts of every neighborhood, how residents express their experience of living there and the actual physical conditions of the area. The CIM survey has been administered in the same Lake Worth neighborhood three times, first in 2011, in 2013, and most recently in 2016. Lake Worth has had the benefit of many grants and community programs. The CIM allows us to know if the impact of our efforts is visible and experienced by residents who live in the community.
Home base will be ‘greenway’ across from Highland Elementary School on “A” Street in Lake Worth. We will ask that you park on “A” street and not in the bus loop. Arrive 15 minutes before your volunteer block to receive a training refresher, your t-shirt, and to be paired up with your “Survey Buddy”.

Some of the activities they perform include putting library materials away, placing materials in order on the shelves, dusting books and shelves, assisting with removing materials from the library, and filing.
We will develop a schedule that works for the students and the needs of the library. Students may work up to two hours per day and a total of 10 hours per week.
Please have the students/parents fill out the attached forms. Parents must sign the forms for all students under 18. Please bring the completed signed forms to the Lake Worth Beach Public Library located at 15 North M St, Lake Worth Beach.
Please be aware we treat all of our students as valued volunteer staff. Like all staff, they will be asked to show up on time, call in if they are sick or late, and dress appropriately for the work they are performing.
