Details of Volunteer Activity: “Every Child Deserves the Chance to Play Baseball” – The Miracle League of Palm Beach County (MLPBC) has the mission to enrich, expand & diversify lives, providing opportunities for all children to play baseball regardless of ability. Creating a safe & inclusive place for people with physical & developmental disabilities to participate in team sport, MLPBC encompasses the encouragement & achievement of crucial life skills. MLPBC is recognized by its athletic name, yet baseball is a vehicle to encourage kindness, compassion, creativity & generosity in the community. MLPBC participants mutually teach, guide & inspire each other, offering avenues to achieve physical & emotional health & wellbeing. Whether swinging the bat, running the bases, playing in the field, cheering from the dugout, clapping in the stands, coaching from the sidelines, serving food in concessions, or organizing outreach, MLPBC is a grassroots effort run entirely on the power & passion of its players & volunteers.
