Details of Volunteer Activity: We are in need of high school volunteers to help facilitate our upcoming Foster Parent Appreciation Dinner. Responsibilities would entail: directing/guiding foster parents to childcare facility, managing the check in table, light serving/cleaning up during/after dinner. Roles/Responsibilities: We are looking for volunteers to help represent KidSafe at the table and clean up our area at the end of the event. Our table will consist of passing out informational materials and resources to event participants, as well as an activity for kids. Please reply as soon as possible with your interest. Name of Event: Summer Tour Plus!
Details of Volunteer Activity: Every year Morikami museum presents Summer Tour Plus! to visiting children’s groups and summer camps. This year the program will consist of a tour through our new exhibits on traditional Japanese humor and folk toys, as well as hands-on art projects. High school students wishing to volunteer must be at least 15 years old for Summer Tour Plus! positions. They will assist instructors with the preparation of materials and work with the children as needed.

In addition to our Summer Tour Plus! program, we have a variety of volunteer opportunities throughout the year, including festivals, special event days (we will be having a festival centered on the Japanese holiday Children’s Day tomorrow, for example), and weekly volunteering opportunities.

Details of Volunteer Activity: Our store proceeds go to help the poor in Palm Beach County with emergency financial aid. We have opportunities to volunteer at our stores in Jupiter and Lake Worth. We offer a fun positive environment, great people and flexible scheduling. You’ll have the opportunity to be involved in assessing what comes in, researching prices, and tagging merchandise. You can express your creativity by enhancing our visual displays. Interacting with customers is also a part of the job.
