Details of Volunteer Activity: Animal Hero Kids is looking for artists, graphic designers, and animators for their website (, hosted on WordPress). The content is ready for the site, but volunteers are needed to help upload it. Volunteers will then be asked to maintain and continuing updating the website. The website is also currently in need of new tabs, stories, photos, and a few new pages.

Furthermore, Animal Hero Kids is seeking help with short videos for social media and overall social media help.

Lastly, school classes who would like to benefit from one of Animal Hero Kids free presentations – all levels- may be filmed for their documentary.

Volunteers may be any age and community service hours are available if needed.

Several Brand New Opportunities Seeking Volunteers!

The City of West Palm Beach Department of Parks and Recreation is hosting 2 upcoming volunteer events. Please take a look at the information below and see if you would be interested in joining. The sooner you submit the registration form, the easier it will be to determine the supplies, tools, and food needed for both events.

Please pay particular attention to the directions on the Comcast Cares Day registration form. Comcast is the Presenting Sponsor and will be providing funds for tools and supplies based on the number of volunteers who participate. It’s important that we get an accurate head count. Volunteers ages 8+ may participate, but those ages 8-15 must be accompanied by an adult.

**Comcast Cares Registration Form**

There are a limited number of volunteer opportunities for 16-17 year olds for the Fitkids Triathlon; no one under 16 please. Participants in the races will be ages 4-14 and will be run in 5 age divisions and M/F divisions. The first race will begin at 7:30 a.m., but volunteers will be served a continental breakfast at 6:00 a.m., followed by preparation of the race course. Volunteers arriving after 6:00 a.m. will need to park outside the park as it will be closed for race preparations.

**Fitkids Triathlon Volunteer Application**

The City will provide all tools, supplies, food etc. for both events. Volunteers just need to register and show up!

Saturday, April 14; 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.

Sunday, May 20; 6:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

Hours: 6 AM to 9 AM
Details of Volunteer Activity: Volunteers will be directing runners out on the course, handing out water on the course, and directing parking. Volunteers will be given “Volunteer” t-shirts upon arrival at Riverbend Park.

Organization Name/Details: Established in 1987, the ALS Association Florida Chapter is fighting ALS by creating awareness of the disease, participating in advocacy, providing patient services, and helping fund research. In addition, we provide financial support to our statewide multidisciplinary ALS clinics and research facilities, enabling them to increase quality patient care.
