Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens looking for summer volunteers!

Hello, my name is Alexandra Weaver, and I am the Youth and Outreach Program Coordinator at the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens in Delray Beach. We have an exciting volunteer opportunity for high school students at our museum this summer, assisting with our Summer Tour Plus! (STP!) program. I see that you coordinate individuals volunteering within the Palm Beach County School District, but would you happen to know whom I could contact to share this opportunity with Palm Beach County high school students?

Student volunteers will be assisting with our Summer Tour Plus! program, presented by the Morikami Museum for children’s groups and summer camps. This summer the program will consist of a guided tour through our new exhibit, a hands-on art project, and a kamishibaistorytelling. High school students wishing to volunteer must be at least 15 years old for Summer Tour Plus! Positions. They will assist the instructor with the preparation of materials and work with the children as needed.
