Details of volunteer activityEarn community service hours while volunteering at the Honda Classic! To qualify as a junior/student volunteer, you must be between the ages of 13-21. Positions available for students are admissions, courtesy check, fan zone, standard bearer, shotlink, uniform sales, and will call. **Childcare volunteers must be age 17 or older**.
The junior/student volunteer package for 2017 will be $20.00. This package includes:


  • Honda Classic hat, t-shirt and name badge with logoed lanyard (allows tournament entry for the entire week); One weekly ticket book for admission;
  • Lunch provided each day you work (continental breakfast available while supplies last)

More Vinceremos Volunteer Needs:

My name is Lori Rudman. I am a volunteer at Vinceremos Therapeutic Riding Center, an equestrian facility specifically developed to serve individuals with physical, cognitive and emotional disabilities. VTRC has been in existence for over 35 years and has impacted the community in countless ways, overlooking disabilities and seeing the abilities and possibilities bringing hope and healing to many individuals and families.
In addition to spending time at the barn working with the therapeutic riding instructors, the riders and the horses, I am now hoping to be helpful in the recruitment of additional volunteers. The program cannot run effectively and safely without the help of volunteers. No horse experience is needed, as each volunteer will be trained in personal safety, horse knowledge and hands on experience with our riding clientele.
There are so many ways to be involved at Vinceremos. If during the hours of 9am to 2pm is a good fit, you will spend your time feeding, watering and turning the horses out to pasture. During the hours of 12:30 to 2:00 pm, the horses come back in for lunch, grooming and preparation for lessons. From 12:30 to 6:30 there are hands on lessons with our riders. You will learn to tack (put equipment on) the horse, safely lead the horse and sidewalk with riders during the lesson. If your forte is administration, photography, marketing, database management or any of a thousand other skills, there is a way for you to make a difference at Vinceremos.
We ask for a minimum commitment of 2 hours per week. Visiting the farm on the same day at the same time gives you a chance to get to know the facility, the horses, the instructors and the riders more intimately. You will also begin to build community with us.
It is beyond my capacity to express the joy that I and my co-volunteers experience in our time at VTRC. Our hope is to inspire you to share this opportunity and capture the personal satisfaction that comes with helping others. Please consider making a commitment to these riders and Vinceremos, it will be worth your time and dedication.
